Canon Memory

Canon's printers are among the best in the business. They produce sharp, high quality photographs and crisp, clear documents. Each new Canon printer builds on the designs of the past, and now you can have an entire printing and developing suite with your printer. In some cases you don't even need to turn on your computer. A printer with this kind of functionality requires a lot of memory to store jobs as you enter them.

The Image Runner series of printers require a lot of memory because of how detailed its printing ability is. Most Image Runners come with 16 MB or 32 MB standard. People who use their printer for a lot of their work will need more memory than this, however. Fortunately, there is a 64 MB memory module available. You can buy it from online retailers for about $50.

Canon has a number of digital cameras available in addition to capable printers. These cameras can store a lot of photographs but professional photographers are going to need more storage space. Using flash memory cards can expand your available storage dramatically. You'll need to use Canon specific cards, so read the documentation that came with your camera and buy only models that are compatible.

For some earlier model Canon printers there are still memory upgrades available. For printers that came with 4 MB or 8 MB standard you can find 16 MB memory modules easily. These memory cards are much cheaper today, and your older Canon printer can really keep up with your needs for a few more years with such an upgrade.
